R D Gentzler
Principal Architect

R D Gentzler founded Framework Architecture in 2007.  He is passionate about design and its potential to improve everyone’s life.

Prior to opening Framework, R D worked at Ben Hansen Architects, and G-TECTS.  He studied at Duke University, the London School of Economics and completed his master’s degree in architecture at Columbia University.  R D is a registered architect in New York and Massachusetts.

He is a board member of Cypress Hills LDC, a Brooklyn based nonprofit that develops high-quality affordable housing and runs successful programs in college persistence, job training and much more.

R D lives in Brooklyn and the Catskills with his wife Sara and his two boys, Max and Theo.
